Teaching by using video, video is one of audio-visual media which is used to teach some skill such as writing n speaking skill. actually, english video has a big role in teaching speaking. when video is used as a media in teaching speaking, the student will be able to imitate the dialect from the native speaker, and also the student can watch how the native speaker speak and express the sentences correctly. And when video is used as a media to teach speaking skill and conversation which can be watched and practiced. Analys Short Story to Increase Student Vocabulary
Almost students in junior and senior high school think that study english is so hard because some of reason such the pronounciation is different, the word is difficult, english word has more than one meaning. In this case if I as a teacher will teach the student by use short story to increase their vocabulary by analys the story. Firstly I give all of my students a short story and second they have to read, while they read the story student can give mark to the word that they don't know the meaning, after that they collect the word and looking for the meaning.

The success of the teaching and learning of foreign language skills including English is determined by a number of factors both linguistic and nonlinguistic such as the students, the teacher, the methods, material and media or aids used.
English teaching media are very important to help students acquire new concepts of, the skills and language competences. They are many kinds of media which can be used by the teachers in the teaching learning process, but the teacher should be selective when choosing.
1. CHARTS
A chart is a combination of pictorial, graphic, numerical or vertical material which presents a clear visual summary. Edgar Dale defines charts as, “a visual symbol summarizing or comparing or contrasting or performing other helpful services in explaining subject-matter”. The main function of the chart is always to show relationships such as comparisons, relative amounts, developments, processes, classification and organization.
Uses of charts:
1. Motivates the students
2. Shows continuity in the process
3. Shows relationships by means of facts, figures and statistics
4. Presents matter symbolically
5. Presents abstract ideas in visual form

Teaching by using poster as media to increase the student skill in reading and vocabulary knowledge. The poster can be defined as a graphic representation of some strong emotional appeal that is carried through a combination of graphic aids like pictures, cartoons lettering and other visual arts on a placard. It aims for conveying the specific message, teaching a particular thing, giving a general idea etc. Posters exert a great influence on the observer.
How to use posters
Posters are very useful in students’ project work. The teacher divide the students in the class into groups and each group can decide what message their post is going to have. The completed posters, together with the students’ other project work, such as reports and maps, can then be displayed around the school.

I would use cartoons. cartoon probably most people assume that the movie character only as an entertainer only. today is sorely lacking interest of students to learn and they often spend their free time just to watch cartoons and playing. but in the other hand also cartoons can also be used as a medi of learning that is effective enough for teachers to teach their students. by graphics and images are preferred, and the storyline is interesting to be the reason teachers to attract student interest. the students learn through cartoons can increase student's vocabulary, listening skills and train their prounounciation.

Comics in learning
So the rise of comics in the community and so the high-preference would be the comic that inspired make comics as a medium for learning. One of the advantages of the comic as a study conducted Thorndike, it is known that children who read more comics at least one instance in a month then the same comic books by reading text books in every year, this affects students' reading skills and vocabulary far more than students who do not like comics.
Other advantages are the comics that contain elements of visual presentation and a strong story. Expression visualized the reader emotionally involved that makes the reader to continue to read it until the end. This has also inspired a comic whose content learning materials. Trends are not so fond of the student text books especially are not accompanied by interesting pictures and illustrations. Though in emprik students tend to prefer books with a picture, a colorful and visualized in the form of realistic and cartoon. Learning Comics expected to increase the interest of students to read and ultimately to improve student learning outcomes.

If i were a teacher, I will use the real things media in teaching media process. and this game i called "what is it?"
What is it: This game is suitable for use by teachers of English in describing the material things that is based on the context of speaking, and to improve student’s speaking.
To run this game, the first I will make students understand with this game and I will give them example, such as a pen, with a pen, and then I will mention the characteristics or a description of the pen. Description of the pen details can be like this:
Step one:
The first one I hold a pen and I mention the characteristic (description) of the pen:
It is black.
It is thin.
It is cheap.
It is made of plastic.
It is used to write.
It is called pen.
1. Once the students understand how to work through the description of the game "what is it", and then I will give tests to students.
2. I can use a marker or eraser or some things and start counting the numbers 1-5 .
3. When I calculating, students must pass the marker to a friend who is on their side. Markers continue to run and the count of five, then the students exactly where markers stop should mention the description of the object held by me.
4. For example I am holding a ruler, and then at least the students answer it is thin when I asks what is it? to her/him.
5. I will keep doing this game before I proceed to the second stage of the game. This is only as warm up game.
Step Two:
1. After a few minutes of the game I will continue with the second game in which the procedure is as follows.
2. I will prepare pieces of paper folded and contains the names of these objects.
3. Students are divided into groups, one group 5 people.
4. The first group to come forward, lined up for the wait queue.
5. First student will take a piece of paper that is in my hand. Open it up, and tried to describe the use of a single sentence. For example he/she taking pieces of paper whose content is Pencil. So he/she must say “it is thin”.
6. When the first student described is true, and then he/she gets two points. Give 5 seconds for students to answer regarding the description of the object.
7. After that continue that game to the next group until finish.
The group that lose will get “price”, I gave name “door price”. That's all my idea in teaching media process. wassalamualaikum wr.wb.

Okay if I were a teacher I will use electronics media in teaching and learning. In the process I will use a games (software) because games can make the student interest to teaching and learning process.
There are also lots of games that can be played in groups of about four students.
- Board games where students move pieces and answer questions or form sentences based on images make for good practice activities. For practicing the “If ~, then ~.” structure a Chutes and Ladders layout may be fun for students.
- Card games such as Go Fish, Memory, and many more can be adapted for classroom use. When you are teaching comparatives, card games can be an invaluable tool. You can also use simple card games to test comprehension by making up decks of cards with letters for example. Have students spread all the cards face up on their desks, you then say a letter aloud, and the first student to slap the correct card gets to keep it. Repeat until all the cards are gone and the student with the most cards at the end of the game wins. To make this more challenging, you can tell students that if they slap the wrong card, they have to take one card out of their pile.

Poster in learning and teaching process
If I as a teacher, I will used electronic media in a learning and teaching process. In this electronic media I used the electronic poster in my laptop, for example : the poster stool of kitchen. The step of teaching process my media is :
1. The teacher have to do is the teacher prepare the laptop and LCD. Then I connect the LCD to the electric socked than laptop to LCD.
2. The teacher tall the student to find the difficult pictures and difficult word.
3. The teacher tell the student to find the meaning of difficult word. And than the teacher call students one by one to forward in front of the class. After this activity the teacher closing the learning and teaching process.
That’s all of the step my learning process teaching media.

If i were a teacher, i will used real thing media in teaching and learning process. I will create my real thing media by myself. I named my media as “ magic disk” media. In teaching and learning process through this media, i teach the vocabulary then it will improve the speaking skill of the student. Well, the step of this teaching and learning process by using the magic disk media, such as in the explanation bellow:
1.Greeting. The teacher opened the the learning process as in greeting the student, then give some motivation for student.
2.Then, teacher devide the student into some group that consist no more than five student. For each group should have one leader.
3.The teacher tell the student or give the instruction about how to teach or the rule of using magic disk.
4.The teacher asked the leader of each group to come in front of the class to spanning the magic disk, then for each leader should see where is the arrow of magic disk stop rolling. For example the arrow shown part of body. It is mean that its group shoul find the vocabulary about part of body.
5.The leader back to her or his group then thell his or her members to find the word. Five words for each person.
6.Whole the student doing their task, the teacher walk around her or his student to monitoring it.
7.After the student finised their task, they should submit it. After that, the teacher check it. Then tell the student that they will discussed it in the next meeting.
8.The teacher closed the teaching and learning process by saying “wassalamualaikum”

Wheeling out the TV and showing a movie has long been the teacher’s secret weapon to calm a distracted class at the end of term. But now many teachers in the UK are using film more creatively in their lessons.
“It is a vehicle through which students can see literature in a new light, access new worlds and fantastic experiences, and which can encourage them to seek out and read the original stories for themselves.”
Media Education Wales’ F film school 2 transition project confirmed Oforiwa’s experiences, showing that teaching with film can make the majority of students more interested in writing. The project made students’ writing more descriptive and enhanced their range of expressions. In another project funded by the BFI, the percentage of children writing at their expected class level rose from 29% to 75%.
But using film doesn’t have to be restricted to English literature. Spanish teacher Gil Poças found using foreign films in the classroom is the perfect way to get students hooked on languages. Good aftie sir, in my class i will use total physical respon method with real thing like RULER as my media, with the ruler i will teach my student about pronoun and it's purpose to increase their vocabulary and pronounciation. The step is i will ask to my boy and girl student to say "she has a ruler" for girl and "he has a ruler" for boy, and then i will ask ti all of my student to follow their words or what they say. I will repeat this technique until my student know with another pronoun like: it, us, them, mine, our, etc. With that technique my student's brain will remember if "she" belongs to girl and "he" belongs to boy.

If i were a teacher I will use media of glass and a small paper for teaching and learning process.
The first time the students must searching a small paper and write at leashed one word ether adj or noun.

If I were a teacher I will use Puzzle for English Teaching, It Is a common type of media used. In this context, you can create a puzzle that is devoted to improve the child's vocabulary through certain images. For example, there is a spot puzzle that is specifically used for the animals. In the space that has not been filled, your child will read a word about a particular animal. Thus, children will read it and then you are instructed to take certain animal picture puzzle pieces. Teaching by using blog is more practice to use because with this methode teacher or lecture can introduce one of the media social to them and it can addition their wild knowledge.
And for me as student I think this methode it's not good enough to applied because half of our friend hard to get internet acces and half of them doesn't have laptop or gedget to use, it is better for us if lecture come to clasa and teach us by face to face in order to make a teaching learning process succes.

Blogs are good to use in teaching media because it is in the Internet network, easy to use, lots of tutorials, innovative, and some of the advantages of blogs other is that it stands alone as the media, in addition to the blog also tend to be non-formal in the use of language that is used. but I think learning to use blog of course slow and ineffective, because not all of us who have good mobile phone to open the blog, and not all of us have a laptop to learn to use the blog, in addition to a laptop can also wifi signal is weak, which can hamper students learning to use blogs and blog are also susceptible to the virus. I like your idea sir, blogs can help me learn without immediately met with lecturer, I am also able to exchange ideas with other students in the blog, can increase knowledge, increase experience, can learn technology etc. But there is a little problem learning to use blogs, for example, do not have internet / quotas, sometimes less understood and should get an explanation from lecturer, electricity is also very influential.
But the blog really helped us, we can all come together in one blog and we can exchange ideas and new ideas can be created without each other.

ReplyDeleteWell, talk about teaching media. It is really interesting for me myself as a candidate of teacher. Because I realize that we can learn so many things by using media not only face to face, side by side and always together like the first time, teacher give an explanation to the students and students listened. But now, using media as a subject of learning make students active, interest and have a spirit when they study in a class room. Media also make us easier to study in everywhere, whenever and every single time we have.
By creating this blog, make us realize ‘how important media in our life’ and I am so glad because my lecturer “Mr. M. Suhaili” introduced us this blog as our feature of study.
As a candidate of teacher, we cannot only use one media as a subject of learning. But, it’s too many media that we can use to support teaching learning process and get the feedback between teacher and student in the class room. One of the media that we can use in the class room is by using picture. It’s really effective to support and increase creativity, talent and interest of students.

and we use blog to study is good way because with blog the students will more active and effectigely. and when learning procces i use media is LCD because as we know LCD is good media to teach as like when we want teach the students about some vocabulary the teacher will show some future in LCD and the student will describing about the future. so the students will get some vocabulary.

Alright in my opinion, learning trough blog is very fun and exciting as long as we can operate it. In blog also we can find out any particular subject trough our colleague and also our teacher/lecturer, we also can share our knowledge and comment to our circle or our friends. We also can debate in this app. But there are some paucity if we learn trough it, such as if we cannot operate it we will not find out any crucial thing, if we have a lots of joiner we can’t handle them focus and of course they’ll disappointed of us.

Before I am going to the main menu in which we must write how do our think about learning through the blog down, which is yours is a prior we accessed to, i need to say that my preface is sorry me for my tardiness then. But the late is rather than none, is it sir? So here i am, sir.
Well, asking our ideas about having a lecture within the blog media, it has both advantage and disadvantage sides within. Yet, this time i just want to focus on the good one.
I discover something that little bit different of my friend's usage that dealing with the good effect. I notice that they begin to talkative already. Though it is reflected by their writing as i already red every single idea of previous user of your student. They forced themselves to talk much more than they’d done at whole face to face moments. It just seems like you had whistled to them. Means you invite them to join you to play soccer on the field, this field. Then you lead them like a coach to the player. Next you give the player the instructions, the suggestions they have to do. It seems that you say “hey! Anyone around the field, despite you do not know soccer nor like it much, even if you are a shy, do not ever think them more! You just need to touch ‘the ball’ and keep trying to dribble that ‘ball’ well, with whatever the manner you need indeed.” This is such a good way to untie us as the student. It makes us feeling free, free to express our own expressions.
Then let me to end my argument today. This is an unforgettable to say my all regard addressed to you sir. Thanks a bit.
